Hi, Nyanmage,

This is Alice from Taipei, Taiwan. I'm glad that you find something inspiring from our class blog project. The students in my class are advanced English learners. Most of them are graduate students of English major. They started learning English at young age and have been highly motivated to learn English well. Some of them went to the US on one-year exchange programs. The oversea learning experience not only broadens their horizon, increases their confidence, but also gives them chance to learn English better.

Here in Taiwan, more and more people realize that to learn English well, they need to use the language in their lives. So, with this idea in mind, more and more teachers are trying their best to adjust their teaching approaches, moving from the traditional grammar translation approach to the communicative approach. And it starts to show the impact when we receive more and more students with better communication skills in English.

In this test-oriented teaching/learning environment, it takes courage to teach in an innovative way with the help of new technologies. In my classes, we discuss a lot about how to teach English effectively and innovatively so as to promote genuine learning and active learning. We also learn how to integrate technologies into teaching. My students will be English teachers in the future. I hope they can make more differences and their students can not only enjoy learning English but also learn it well.
